What you will gain

Clear, practical next steps for your birds, and the quiet confidence that comes from having someone experienced look things over. You will receive a written care report with photographs, and a call one month later to see how the changes are settling in.

Whether you are a first-time owner or an experienced falconer wanting a second opinion, the aim is the same: a routine that is easier for you and kinder to the bird.

When you are not sure you are getting it right

Keeping a bird of prey involves countless small decisions: how high a perch should be, what surface is gentle on feet, how much a bird should weigh, how long it should be handled. Advice online often contradicts itself, and it is hard to judge your own setup after months of looking at it every day.

This is a perfectly ordinary feeling. It is also what a fresh, informed view is for.

A careful look at the whole picture

During the visit we review:

  • Mews and weathering-area design
  • Perch types and surfaces for foot health
  • Diet and weight records
  • Enrichment and daily handling routines

We work only with captive-bred birds. We explain the registration and permission requirements that apply to keeping raptors in Japan, and we refer any medical concerns to experienced avian veterinarians rather than guessing.

The investment

¥16,500 per consultation · about three hours

The fee covers the visit, the preparation of your written report and the follow-up call. We settle payment and scheduling personally when we reply to your enquiry.

Included

  • The site visit
  • A written care report with photos
  • Recommendations delivered within two weeks
  • A follow-up call one month later

How progress is tracked

The report names specific, doable changes, and the follow-up call is where we check how they are working. Often the evidence is quiet: weights that hold steady in the log, a bird that settles more easily on its perch, a routine that takes less effort. We encourage you to keep a daily record, since it is the clearest way to see change.

Every bird is different, and we do not promise particular outcomes. We promise attention and honesty.

Our commitment to you

Our recommendations are written tactfully, as one keeper to another. We will not judge your setup, and if something is outside our expertise we will say so and point you to someone who can help. You are welcome to ask questions before booking, without any obligation.

Getting started

  1. Tell us about your birds and your setup, even roughly.
  2. We reply personally within two working days.
  3. We agree a date and visit your site.
