Why this notice exists
Japanese law asks sellers who take enquiries and bookings online to state certain facts in one place. We keep ours here, in the same plain tone as the rest of the notebook, and we have tried to leave nothing for you to hunt for.

- Raptor Encounter & Introduction: ¥7,700 per person (about 90 minutes, up to six guests)
- Private Estate Birdwatching & Ornithology Survey: ¥12,100 per visit (about four hours)
- Raptor Care & Mews Consultation: ¥16,500 per consultation (about three hours, with a follow-up call a month later)
Prices are shown in yen, consumption tax included.
- Charges beyond the price
- None are added by this website. If something extra applies to a particular booking, such as a long journey to a distant estate, it is named in our written reply before you agree.
- Payment method and timing
- Nothing is charged through this website. The way and the time of payment are agreed with you in our written reply, before any amount is due.
- When the service is provided
- On the date we agree together. We aim to reply to every enquiry within two working days.
- Changes and cancellation by you
- Tell us as early as you can. Any fee that would apply is stated in our written reply before you confirm the booking, and nothing is booked by sending an enquiry.
- Cancellation by us
- If heavy rain, strong heat or a bird’s condition makes a session unwise, we pause it and offer a new date at no charge.
- Defective or unsatisfactory service
- Write to us and we will look at it with you. Your rights as a consumer under Japanese law are not affected.
- Registrations
- Where an official registration applies to an activity we offer, we state its details in our written reply before payment.
- Other conditions
- Children aged 8 and over may attend an encounter with a guardian. See the Terms of Service and the Terms and Conditions.

How an enquiry becomes a booking
Nothing on this website takes money or confirms a date. The path is deliberately slow and written down at each step:
- You send an enquiry through the contact page or the form on the home page.
- A member of our team replies personally, normally within two working days, with questions and a proposed date.
- We agree the place, the date, the group size and the price in writing. The price in that message is the one that applies to your booking.
- We tell you how and when payment is to be made. Only then is anything due.
- The session takes place. Afterwards you receive the field card, species list or care report that belongs to the service, and for a consultation the follow-up call a month later.
Things worth knowing before you pay
- Encounters are limited to six guests so that the birds are handled quietly. If a bird is unwell or unsettled on the day, the session is paused or changed, and a new date is offered without charge.
- Children aged 8 and over may attend an encounter with a guardian. Please tell us about allergies or injuries in advance.
- Surveys and consultations take place on your land or at your mews. We will say in our reply if the location needs any extra arrangement.
- We cannot promise that a particular species will appear during a survey, because the birds keep their own schedule. The written species list records what was actually found.

Currency, tax and your statutory rights
Every amount on this website is in Japanese yen. The prices already include 10% consumption tax, so the figure shown beside a service is the figure you pay for that service itself. If anything extra ever applies to your booking, our written reply names it and its amount before you agree.
This notice describes how we work and does not take away any right that Japanese consumer law gives you. Where a sentence on this page seems to say otherwise, the law prevails, and we would rather correct the sentence than argue the point.
