Who pays for what you read here

You should know when money shapes what you are shown. This page states our practice in plain terms, so you can judge the rest of the website accordingly. Where rules on endorsements and advertising apply, including Japan’s rules against misleading representations and undisclosed advertising, we follow them.

In short: at the date above, Quiet Falcon Labs is paid only by the guests and landowners who book the three services on this website. No one pays us to praise their products, and no outside advertisement appears on our pages.

Our own advertising

• We may advertise ourselves. We may pay search engines to show our own services to people looking for falconry, bird surveys or raptor care in Japan. Such announcements are labelled as advertisements by the search engine, not by us.
• Same pages for everyone. A visitor who arrives through an advertisement sees the same pages, prices and wording as a visitor who typed our address.
• Claims we stand behind. What we say in advertising is limited to what is written here: the three services, their yen prices, small groups of up to six guests, captive-bred birds and a personal reply within two working days.

Affiliate links and commissions

• We take part in no affiliate programme, and no link on this site earns us a commission.
• When we mention a book, a tool or another specialist, it is because we use it or would send our own friends there, not because we are rewarded.
• If an affiliate link is ever added, it will carry a visible label beside it and this page will be updated first.

Sponsored content and partnerships

• This website carries no paid articles, sponsored posts or paid placements.
• We have no brand partnerships to declare. A future partner would be named here, and sponsored material would be marked at the top of its page.
• The species notes, welfare notes and care information are written by our own team from daily work with the birds. They are general descriptions, not product reviews.

About the photographs

Pictures on this site show birds of prey and bird-watching scenes in general. They illustrate the kinds of birds and field work we describe and are not all photographs of our own birds or guests. The captions say what is visible in the picture, and the care table on the home page is labelled as an illustration of the kind of log we keep.

Third-party advertising and tracking

• We show no third-party display advertising and we do not run behavioural targeting.
• No analytics or advertising tag is loaded by any page at the date above. The website carries consent switches for advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalisation, analytics and personalisation storage so that your choice would be respected if such tools were ever added. All of them start switched off.
• Before any such tool is switched on, we would update this page and the Cookie Policy.

Your controls

• Change your choices at any time on the Cookie Policy page, or choose Reject All there.
• Your rights to access, correct or delete personal information are set out in the Privacy Policy, in line with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
• If you think something here is an undisclosed advertisement, tell us through the contact page and we will look into it.
